Fall/Winter 2015
This fall we'll be hitting the road. Some show dates have already announced in hometown Chicago plus Detroit, MI, Rockford, IL and Nashville, TN. More dates and cities to be announced soon. See the SHOWS page, which will continue to be updated, for details.

Album #4 is still a go and still in production. We've been working diligently with Mike Hagler at Kingsize Sound Labs in Chicago, trying to narrow down our final selection of tracks from about two dozen to the standard 11 or 12. We've got plans to release the new one on vinyl, as well, and are exploring a few label options. Stay tuned for release date updates. This one, though, cannot be rushed.

We are proud of our own Brad Elvis, who was recently asked to sit in as guest drummer for part of the set with two blasts from the past, The Bangles and The Beach Boys, at sold-out shows in Chicago at the City Winery and Ravinia respectively. Brad was also interviewed for an article in The Huffington Post, written by New York City-based writer and raconteur Binky Phillips. The article and Brad's amusing answers can be found here: www.huffingtonpost.com

Spring/Summer 2015
Happy spring and summer! We started out the new year with a feature on the GRETSCH MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS website. Lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Chloe F. Orwell was chosen by Gretsch Guitars as the featured guitarist for January and part of February 2014 and shared the spotlight with Gretsch featured drummer Dan Flint from the U.K. band You Me At Six on the grestch.com home page. Though Chloe has since passed the honor to another great Gretsch artist, she and The Handcuffs are still featured on gretsch pages in a feature from the 2014 NAMM show in southern California, where she, along with drummer Brad Elvis, was a guest at the Gretsch booth for the weekend.

The Handcuffs have announced some summer festival shows, including Pride Fest in the state capitol, Springfield, IL and some city street festivals in our hometown of Chicago. The current schedule is now up on the shows page.

The Handcuffs were named among the bands who ranked at the top of the list of best live performances of 2013 by chicagoconcertgoers.com. Thanks to journalist/music critic Dave Miller for that honor.

Drummer and journalist/blogger Ian Lee recently interviewed our own drummer Brad Elvis for a feature on his Best Drummer in the World blog. Check out the creatively titled article Who the Fuck is Brad Elvis now.

Pandora Radio has recently added both "Waiting for the Robot" and "Electroluv," our third and second albums respectively, to their online streaming services, with our debut "Model for a Revolution" waiting in the queue.

Album number four is currently in the works. We're recording, once again, with the ingenious Mike Hagler at Kingsize Sound Labs in Chicago, who also engineered/co-produced our last three. When asked about what people can expect from this new batch of tunes, our answer: something with a bit more ker-blam, perhaps, but you'll still be able to sing along to every song. We've been listening to a lot of Mott, T-Rex, Bowie, Velvet Underground and Queens of the Stone Age for inspiration, but, of course, the new record will still sound 100 percent Handcuffs.
